SYLLABUS FOR ADMISSION TEST

Class I

English: Reading, Writing, Dictation and recognition of sounds of vowels, Rhyming words, circle the odd one, simple opposites, plurals, name of animals, fruits and colours.

Hindi : Reading, Writing, Dictation and Recognition of all ‘Matras’ and also three and four letters combination, Names of colours, animals and fruits, singular, plural, opposites.

Maths: Counting upto 500, Table’s upto 5, simple sums of addition and subtraction, what comes after, before and between the numbers, number in words.

General Awareness: The child should be aware of the names of transport, common fruits, vegetables, World of Science, Household articles etc.

Class II

English: Numbers, Opposites, Genders, Usage of is, am, are, this, that, a, an, Usage of she and he, Sentence-making, dictation of all sounds, composition – The Cow or Myself.

Hindi: एकवचन, बहुवचन, विलोम शब्द, शब्द शुद्धि, लिंग बदलो, शब्द का वाक्य में प्रयोग, श्रुतलेख, अनुच्छेद (६ से ८ पंक्तिया) पालतू पशु / प्रियमित्र, सामान्य ज्ञान के प्रश्न|

Maths: Counting upto 1000, Reverse counting from 100 to 1, Addition with carrying, subtraction without borrowing (Before, After, Between:1-1000), Tables upto 10. Numbers in words upto 100.

Class III

English: Picking up of Nouns, Pronouns and Adjectives, sentences with simple verb usage of ‘a’ and ‘an, Comprehension, Numbers, Opposites, Genders, Composition – My Class room or My Mother.

Hindi: लिंग, वचन, विलोम शब्द, पर्यायवाची शब्द, अनेक शब्दों के लिए एक शब्द , सामान्य ज्ञान प्रश्न, अनुच्छेद (पाँच से आठ) मेरा विद्यालय, कोई त्यौहार.

Maths : Numbers name, Ascending order, Descending order, After-before and place value upto 1000. Tables upto 15, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Problem sums, Measurement of length, mass, weight, time, calendar and money.

Class IV

English : Rearrange the words to make sentences, Numbers, Genders, Opposites, Picking up Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, Adjectives, Prepositions, Usage of articles, comprehension, composition : My Teacher or Any Indian festival.

Hindi: पर्यायवाची, मुहावरे, अर्थ लिखकर वाक्य बनाओ, वचन बदलो ,सामन्य ज्ञान के प्रश्न, अनुच्छेद–प्रिय खेल / भारत देश, अनेक शब्दों के लिए एक शब्द, संज्ञा , सर्वनाम छाँटो, विलोम, लिंग।

Maths: Expanded and short form, write in words, Tables upto 20, Fractions and Geometrical shapes, Time, simple and problem sums of Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, Money, Measurement of length, mass & capacity.

Class V

English: Comprehension, Composition (8-10 sentences) Picnic or morning walk, Rearrange the words to make sentences, Change the sentences into plural form; One word for a group of words, synonyms, antonyms; completing sentences. Application to the Principal for sick leave or for urgent piece of work. Exercises based on Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, Adverbs, Adjectives and Prepositions. Genders, Singular, Plural Number.

Hindi: मुहावरे, अनेक शब्दों के लिए एक शब्द , वचन बदलो व लिंग बदलो , पर्यायवची शब्द सामान्य ज्ञान के प्रश्न छुट्टी के लिए प्रार्थना पत्र , अनुच्छेद -प्रिय नेता / समय का सदुपयोग, विलोम शब्द

Maths: Multiples and Factors, Measurement of Length, weight, capacity, large numbers-Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, Unitary Method, Common Fraction, Decimals, Addition and Subtraction of fractional numbers. Roman Numbers, Basic Geometry, Time, Money.

N.B:
1. Syllabus for the entrance test to any class will be based on the syllabus (N.C.E.R.T.)of the previous class.
2. Children seeking admission will have to appear for the entrance test as follows::
