AN INTRODUCTION

Dayawati Modi Public School was conceived and developed in the last quarter of the twentieth century when education was crying for our utmost attention. The school is the brain child of our founder President Seth Rai Bahadur Gujarmal Modi ji, Padma Bhushan Awardee & our founder Vice President Mrs. Dayawati Modi ji who wanted to serve the society and nation by catering to the educational needs of Modinagar and its surroundings.

The school has beautifully and responsibly borne all along the rich cultural heritage and value system envisioned by Late Seth Rai Bahadur Gujarmal Modi Ji and Mrs. Dayawati Modi Ji. At present, it is a legacy of the 50 plus years in education contributing seminally to the growth of our society and humanity at all levels. Our alumni serve literally every nook and corner of our beautiful planet. We can never thank enough the FOUNDERS for their exquisite vision that bloomed forth and illuminated our world.

The school was inaugurated on 17th February 1973 by Mrs. Marjorie Gregory, wife of the President of Rohn & Hass Co., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. The School is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. We have accomplished more than 50 glorious years of transformation through education.

The Foundation stone of our Junior School Block, situated in the same campus, was laid on 7th December 1979 by Mr. Harnish Maxwell, President, Philip Morris International, U.S.A.
Mr. Umesh Modi, President and Mrs. Kumkum Modi, Vice-President of Dayawati Modi Public School dedicated Dayawati Modi Centenary Block which houses our Primary Block, in their mother’s on her 100th birth anniversary on 17th November 2015

Our educational beliefs are comprehensive and encompassing. Education for us is the balanced growth of hand, head and heart. It takes care of our intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth. It enhances us by way of training and cultivating us in skills, attitudes, aptitudes, values, knowledge and wisdom. It makes us ready to earn a living, without ignoring the overall well-being of the society. It enhances all spheres of our personality and encourages us to adopt best practices from across the globe so that we can leave behind a beautiful and vibrant planet for our future generations.

Education is the manifestation of manifestation of the perfection, already inherent in man, says Swami Vivekanand. For us, every child has the inborn potential to build his or her own future and all they need is to make the right choices. We are an institution anchored firmly in the strong roots of our culture and ethics, taking in our stride immense benefits offered by science and technology including machine learning, robotics and artificial intelligence.
